The Department of Political Science at California State University, Sacramento seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position of Political Science Faculty/Internship Coordinator at the rank of assistant professor to begin in fall 2020. Candidates with a Ph.D. in Political Science or related field are encouraged to apply. ABD candidates will be considered; if ABD, candidates will be required to complete the doctoral degree by January 2021. Applicants are expected to have the ability to coordinate and develop the department’s internship programs and to direct the Sacramento Semester Program in addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.  Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student body and a diverse community. Candidates are also required to have a strong commitment to college teaching, experiential learning, and an ability to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Political Science, including an introduction to American government. Candidates are required to demonstrate potential for scholarly achievement; the department is open to methodological approaches.
