PSA Endowment Fund
Donations and bequests to the PSA Endowment Fund are currently used to provide $125 travel grants to students who are presenting their research at the annual meeting. Recently the Association has been able to grant 30 of these travel awards. The larger the fund, the more awards will be given.
Currently the PSA provides over $7,000 in awards each year to students.
The expenditure of funds must be approved by a 2/3 vote of the Council.
Since the PSA is a tax exempt organization under Federal Tax Law, section501 (C) (3), all contributions to the Endowment Fund are tax deductible. The Secretary/Treasurer will send a receipt for tax purposes to donors. All donors who contributed in the previous calendar year will be recognizedby name in the May issue of the PSA Newsletter.
If you would like to make a donation, print this Web page and mail it with your donation (made out to the PSA) to Dean S. Dorn, PSA, Department of Sociology, CSUS, 6000 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95819-6005 or you can easily make a direct donation online to the Endowment Fund or you can use the membership and registration form, which has an option for a donation, when paying online for membership and or registration at the annual meeting.
