A.I. is all around us and is integrated in our day-to-day activities more and more. Employers are requiring new hires to have some familiarity with how to use A.I. Come learn some creative ways to engage your students in using A.I. as a tool rather than a crutch, ethically integrate it into your assignments, and how to show them some pitfalls associated with the racial biases and stereotypes associated with A.I. The more we embrace A.I. for our students, the more we empower them to play with it in a safe space so they are better prepared for their futures.

About BIPOC Connex

BIPOC Connex is an online discussion forum designed for educators who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color and teach courses revolving around race and ethnicity or lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at their institutions. The group aims to foster a supportive environment by keeping discussions small and meeting multiple times, allowing participants to ask questions, share insights, and discuss concerns in a comfortable space.

Each month, we focus on a specific theme that guides our two meetings. Even if you're only able to attend a few, you're more than welcome to join! The schedule features a guest speaker on Tuesdays with open conversation, while Wednesday meetings are centered around continuing group discussions.
